Vodka (top or bottom shelf, with the right ingredients the vodka isn’t the focus)
Ginger Beer (my go-to is Goslings)
Lime Juice (my go-to is Rose’s Sweetend Lime Juice)
copper mug (or coffee mug in a pinch)
basil for garnish
Optional garnishes & flavor ideas:
Berry Good: blueberries/strawberries/raspberries/blackberries & basil (any berry of your choice!)
Holly Jolly: pomegranate berries & dash of peppermint oil
Apple Bottoms: 2-3 apple slices, 1 oz. of apple cider & dash of cinnamon, bonus: add cinnamon sugar rim to set shit off

How to make the mule:
Fill copper mug 3/4 of the way with ice. Add 1.5 oz shot of vodka (or spirit of choice if you’re deviating). Add dash or two of lime juice, throw in your extras, if any, top with about a half can of ginger beer, and enjoy!
